well all cockroaches look disgustingly similar rite? well there're many species.. but we oni learnt 2 species for our yr. Periplaneta americana and Blatta orientalis.
Kingdom: Animalia
Phylum: Arthropoda
Subphylum: Tracheata
Class: Insecta
Order: Blattoidea

Periplaneta americana

Blatta orientalis
Well.. we studied everything about the cockroach.. frm its reproductive system rite down to its digestive system.
and we actually have to sketch the structure of the mouth and leg of the cockroach using microscopy.
this is a rough sketch i got off the net of the mouth structure XD

and of course.. wat are cockroaches without their legs?

the picture is missing one more structure that our lecturer stressed on a lot. the pulvillus between the 2 class at the end of the tarsus. no idea y its so important..
